Glam Junk Truck
I was just too happy to find this vintage 1965 Dodge Truck online....so happy that we bought it at 10:00 PM and got up at 3:00 AM and drove 257 miles to get it. We didn't get home until 5:30 PM and boy was I tired. Over 500 miles to get this truck back home and it took extra long since it's only a 3 speed....you know and old three on the tree...! So glam huh?!?
Is this not the perfect vintage truck to go to a flea market...? You know you want one too..
I am loving the interior colors. It's almost a robins egg blue...It just looks so vintage.
And it's a long bed so I can fit all kinds of neat stuff in it....flea market here I come!

More Covington Louisiana
While we were in Covington we took a short trip back across Lake Ponchartrain to the French Quarter in New Orleans. We stopped at a beautiful store called Rendezvous Linen and Lace. I thought you might like to look inside.
In the entry there is a beautiful chandelier that I couldn't help but stare at. I'm lucky I didn't walk into something while I was staring. I was truly in awe.
Further in the shop there was tons of Linen and Lace. I was in heaven. The store smelled wonderful too. Like a garden of roses. I could have stayed in their forever. But, I wanted to see more.

The wall was painted with roses which were so beautiful. Truly it was one of those stores you could spend hours in just looking at everything.
But, I had so much more to show you. Back in Covington, the businesses are in old homes. Here is one of the beautiful businesses. That would make it easier to go to work everyday wouldn't it?
Other homes in the neighborhood, look just as beautiful.
Another business for you to see.
And one of my favorite pink and white houses. I just love the gingerbread shingles on the front. It reminded me of a gingerbread house...only more shabby chic...!
My Trip to Covington
Recently, I went to Louisiana for a work related trip and I wasn't thrilled until I drove across the Lake Ponchartrain causeway and came to a wonderful town called Covington. I liked Covington so much I decided to share a little bit of it with you. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I stopped at a little Antique shop in Covington. I was lucky enough to get to be there for their Art Walk where the street is blocked off and all the shops on the street have an open house type sale. They have wine and appetizers for you when you come in. Wine and antiques, how can you go wrong?
Doesn't the front door just make you want to live there? Just wait, there's more...Just down the street you'll find the English Tea Room. How great is this car out front? I want one!The Inviting front of the English Tea Room. Makes you want to have a cup doesn't it?

I have designed a French Themed Blog for sale for 45.00. I will install this template within 48 hours...okay, most likely I will install within one hour of payment but I don't want to make that promise just in case I am out and about......but, I do like to get things done quickly.
Please visit my Etsy shop for more information about this design. Or http://www.testglamjunk9.blogspot.com/ to see the design up close and operational...
I would be happy to create an Etsy Banner or Avatar for you too .... and can even customize your blog posting with your name every time you post....just like you see the fleur de lis design with "glam junk" by my posting headers.
