Some Things at Just Not Antiques Mart
I really need to stop taking pictures with my cell phone camera. I know my husband would appreciate it if I actually used one of the two cameras he has purchased for me. So forgive me for the terrible quality of these pictures but you get the idea. Hopefully, you want to see more and just bring yourself into the shop to see in person. Enjoy!

Glam Junk Christmas
I know I have not posted in a while but, I wanted to share my house with you for Christmas. So, I will start with the most important thing, the Christmas tree. I just love the gold and rust colors, and if you know me at all you know that I love everything in my house to match. So, you will be seeing lots of golds, rusts and sparkle ! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
The wreath in front of the family room fireplace, kind of simple but I still like it.
And, on the kitchen table just a simple arrangement that my daughter put together with pine cones, candle and ornaments in a big gold bowl.
On to the dining room. I tied bows around all the chairs, Angels on the table and some beautiful globes I picked up last year. I almost forgot I had them...Okay, I did forget I had them and was pleasantly surprised when I found them in a cabinet...
Here is a closer picture of the globes. Of course I am partial to Angels. There is an Angel in one globe, and a small Nativity scene in the other. I have a ton of them on the tree and everywhere else in my house. I happen to leave a lot of the Angels out all year long.
At my entry way, I have an old fashioned Santa, some beautiful glitter candles and a beautiful floral arrangement.
Here is a closer picture of the floral arrangment with gold sparkle Poinsettia's and if you look close you can see the glitter candle in the background. Oh and of course an Angel.
Another close up of my floral arrangement. I just love the Gold Pointsettia's....
On the formal living room coffee table I have a bowl of ornaments, and a larger Santa and hmmm, do I see more gold sparkle candles? Of course I do. In the background you can see my wonderful stockings.

Glam Junk Truck
I was just too happy to find this vintage 1965 Dodge Truck online....so happy that we bought it at 10:00 PM and got up at 3:00 AM and drove 257 miles to get it. We didn't get home until 5:30 PM and boy was I tired. Over 500 miles to get this truck back home and it took extra long since it's only a 3 speed....you know and old three on the tree...! So glam huh?!?
Is this not the perfect vintage truck to go to a flea market...? You know you want one too..
I am loving the interior colors. It's almost a robins egg blue...It just looks so vintage.
And it's a long bed so I can fit all kinds of neat stuff in it....flea market here I come!

More Covington Louisiana
While we were in Covington we took a short trip back across Lake Ponchartrain to the French Quarter in New Orleans. We stopped at a beautiful store called Rendezvous Linen and Lace. I thought you might like to look inside.
In the entry there is a beautiful chandelier that I couldn't help but stare at. I'm lucky I didn't walk into something while I was staring. I was truly in awe.
Further in the shop there was tons of Linen and Lace. I was in heaven. The store smelled wonderful too. Like a garden of roses. I could have stayed in their forever. But, I wanted to see more.

The wall was painted with roses which were so beautiful. Truly it was one of those stores you could spend hours in just looking at everything.
But, I had so much more to show you. Back in Covington, the businesses are in old homes. Here is one of the beautiful businesses. That would make it easier to go to work everyday wouldn't it?
Other homes in the neighborhood, look just as beautiful.
Another business for you to see.
And one of my favorite pink and white houses. I just love the gingerbread shingles on the front. It reminded me of a gingerbread house...only more shabby chic...!
